Lego Advent Calendars – Day 24

Well Robo-nation, we’re here, after 23 days filled with Lego, Toys, Food and fun, we’re finally here on Day 24 of the Lego Star Wars/City Advent Calendars. And honestly I’m ready, doing these daily posts can be a bit much, but don’t worry you won’t have to wait until next Christmas to hear from me again, I’m going to be back at posting on a semi regular basis, and heck if you want I may even become regular at it again, but until then, let’s see what we’ve got for Day 24.

Here we have it, the final Lego City set, and it’s the big guy himself, Santa Claus, with a hot cup of cocoa and his sack all packed ready to bring presents to the world. This is the same Santa we’ve received in numerous different sets, but really who cares, it’s Santa Claus, besides every mall has a Santa, you can just say the extras are mall Santa’s that are on break or something.

The Lego Star Wars Calendar brings us the big hitter of the set, the Abominable Snow Wookie with his bow blaster and a couple of small trees to use as shooting practice. I really love the final day sets that the Star Wars series has brought out each year, as they are truly the reason for these sets, and I know I’ve been hard on this set this year, but really, I know I’ll be getting next years just to get the final day figure again.

Well there we have it, the final sets, but if you’d like to see previous years sets, check out the 2013, 2014 and 2015 Star Wars Advent Calendar sets we’ve looked at as well.

I do want to take this time and thank you, for being with this site for the last 3+ years (I know I missed the anniversary in my down time, just means next year will be bigger), you that take a few minutes out of your days to see what’s happening here, what crap I’ve bought or made, and just saying hello from time to time means a lot to me.

2016 has been an absolutely horrible year for me, with the loss of my girlfriend, that sent my entire world upside down, there was still those of you that kept in contact, and I thank you, from the bottom of my heart.

Sure some may see this as a little waste of time or a hobby, but running this site is really more than that, it’s a way for me to connect with people I may not otherwise be able to, to tell stories, share hobbies, likes, loves and everything in between. Each time I add a new post I really feel that sense of happiness that has been gone for most of this year, and I will continue to work on and build myself back up, with the love and support of my amazing family, and the one that’s been by my side through this all, my son. He is the reason I’ve been able to get up each day and attack it like it’s my last, as I’ve learned life is way to short, you’ve got to live it to it’s fullest, enjoy the little things as much as the life changing things, and have a great big smile on your face along the way.

I hope that you all have an amazing Christmas, Kwanzaa, Hanukkah, or any other celebration you may have going on.

Merry Christmas,

Cory (aka Retro Robot)

P.S. Oh yeah I got an Omnibot 2000 this summer, and will be fixing him up, so look for that in the new year, I’ll finally have a robot that can serve me drinks straight out of the 80s.
